In the world of aftermarket automotive performance, some companies have become synonymous with a certain vehicle that they tinker with. For the folks at Plymouth, Michigan-based tuning house Roush Performance, that vehicle is the Ford Mustang. The two have been linked ever since founder Jack Roush took his Mustang racing back in 1970, producing some of the coolest cars money can buy in the time since. In order to celebrate that half-century long partnership, Roush Performance have announced the 2020 Jack Roush Edition Mustang.

Limited to just 70 units worldwide, with 60 staying right here in the United States, these Rapid Red Mustang’s come with a lot of hardware to honor the company’s father. Bolted to the top of the 5.0L Coyote V8 is a Roush Phase 3 Supercharger, which raises the power output to a GT500-beating 775 horsepower and 670 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough power to hurl this pony to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, and on through the 1/4 mile in 10.7 seconds. You can spec it with either a manual or automatic transmission, if you so choose.

In order to manage the added heat that the supercharger brings to the equation, every Jack Roush Edition Mustang also comes standard with the Powertrain Cooling Package. Other performance oriented hardware upgrades include 6-piston Brembo brakes at the front and rear, a Roush-calibrated Magneride suspension and a Roush active exhaust system with an upgraded h-pipe.

A set of diamond-machined 20-inch forged wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires is standard. Opt for the Competition Package, and instead a set of 19-inch matte-black forged Roush/Weld Racing wheels shod in Continental ExtremeContact DR rubber are equipped. The Competition Package also includes the Roush Signature Package, as well as the Jack Pack Track Box.

A number of changes have been made to the appearance of this Mustang, courtesy of a Roush R9 Aero Body Kit. Not all of the changes are just for show however, as the Jack Roush Edition Mustang also features a carbon fiber wing with active aerodynamic, offering up to 2.5x more downforce at speed.

No Roush product would be complete without some branded graphics and badging, which this Mustang has plenty of. There is even a Jack Roush Edition Track Interior package, which brings more Roush-branded goodies such as a boost gauge, door sill scuff plates, and embroidered floor mats.

The 2020 Jack Roush Edition Mustang will carry an MSRP of $50,995, not including the cost of the base vehicle. With that investment comes some peace of mind by way of Roush’s 5-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty and 3-year/36,000-mile body warranty.
