While the design of the 2021 Ford F-150 is set to be more evolutionary, we are hearing about more and more revolutionary features that make the new truck very exciting. Many of these could even make the truck perfect for a weekend getaway or outdoor adventure camping. The newest feature, according to an anonymous source to Reuters, is a flat folding passenger seat that will allow owners to sleep in their vehicle.
The source said it’ll fold flat just like a seat in a plane’s first class section. While we don’t expect it to be that plush or luxurious, the idea makes visual sense. The source added, “you can basically live in the truck.”
Couple that with our previously published scoop that the new 2021 Ford F-150 will offer an on-board generator, and that statement seems to hold more weight than many realize. The generator is expected to be capable of powering everything from power tools to camping equipment.
This indicates a vastly improved interior for the next generation 2021 Ford F-150. Interior technology and connectivity will be a focal point of the new truck. A much larger touchscreen, possibly 12 inches, is expected to bring it in line with Ram trucks. This touchscreen will also debut a new infotainment system that the Bronco may also get.
One of the other standout tech features on the 2021 Ford F-150 will be over the air updates, which were first announced on the Mustang Mach-E. This will allow owners to quickly keep their truck up to date over time. Fleet owners will appreciate this too, as their company cars will stay fresh longer. Plus, warranty costs will be lower with the simple updates.
