There’s plenty to see at the 2022 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. From beefed-up off-roaders to custom builds that take your imagination of what’s possible to a whole other level. Any car enthusiast would feel at home at the event as there’s something for everyone. One special competition that takes place at the SEMA Show each year is the Battle of the Builders, which is what it sounds like. A battle between the different builds at SEMA. There are four categories with three contestants, which have been announced for each. But, of course, there can only be one winner, and the top 4 have recently been announced for each category.
2022 SEMA Battle of the Builders Finalists
Starting with the first category, Hot Rod/Hot Rod Truck, the winner is the 1948 Chevrolet Pick-up Loadmaster, also known as Enyo. Ringbrothers created this build, coveted as their most extreme build yet. If you’re at the event, you can find the race truck at Mothers Booth #22357. The next category is Sport Compact, Luxury, and Exotic vehicles, with TJ Russell winning with a 1991 Porsche 911 BAJA. This car can be found in the front of Central Hall V052.
The third category is titled Young Guns 29 & Under, with Josh Michels taking the win with a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette at the Battle of the Builders Booth #10139. The fourth and final category for the competition is the 4-Wheel Drive & Off-Road segment, where Ringbrothers is taking home a second win with their 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer appropriately named Bully.
Each of these vehicles was chosen by a panel of industry experts. All are beautiful creations with unique features to have car enthusiasts drool over. Cameras have been following along at the Las Vegas Convention Center to document the journey for a TV program set to air on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Out of these four vehicles, only one was crowned the official 2022 SEMA Show Battle Of The Builders winner on November 4, at 3:30 pm, on Silver Drive.
Ringbrothers Enyo Takes Overall BOTB Win
If there was a noticeably fresh theme for wild builds at the 2022 SEMA Show, it was radical street trucks. Yes, there were C8 Corvette body kits and Ford Bronco off-road builds aplenty, but several builders took the liberty of stretching the definition of a “truck.” At the Penzoil booth outside the Las Vegas Convention Center, there was a mid-engined Honda Ridgeline built by the Hoonigans. K&N also had a balls-to-the-wall vintage truck build with a pair of turbochargers at their booth. Ironically, it was right next to the Mother’s Polish booth, where the Ringbrothers Enyo Chevrolet pickup truck debuted. Defining itself as “a truck in name only”, this build spared no expense, featuring a set of Goodyear racing slicks, a custom Ringbrothers chassis, a 1,000 horsepower Goodwin marine racing V8 engine, and tons of little details that will keep onlookers staring at this immaculate machine for hours. The last reason is perhaps why it took the overall 2022 SEMA Show Battle Of The Builders win above the rest.
