Ford is gearing up for the 2023 model year of its popular Bronco SUV, but according to the official order guide, some buyers might be disappointed with the lack of options. The 2023 Ford Bronco dealer order guide shows what we can expect for the latest model year of the vehicle. And some notable features will be missing from the order sheet.
Firstly, the gloss black modular hard top that Ford has promised buyers since the truck was revealed cannot be found anywhere, which means it probably won’t be available, or it will be introduced much later in the year.
2023 Ford Bronco color options are now even more limited, with the 2023 model year losing Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat and Desert Sand in favor of Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat and Robin’s Egg Blue. The Raptor also loses the Eruption Green Metallic shade for 2023. Yellowstone Metallic, previously seen on upcoming Heritage Edition Bronco models, also appears to be absent from the order guide.
Speaking of the Heritage Edition, it seems that the much anticipated modular top is only available on the special edition trim, and is only available in one shade – white. If you want a black top, soft is the only possible option. Heritage Edition models are also listed in the guide as “late availability.”
There is also only one dealer-installed option for the 2023 Ford Bronco, which is the “Storage – Roof Bag, 2-Door Modular Roof Porthole Panel.”
No changes have been made under the hood, and the 2023 Ford Bronco is still available with either the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder connected to either a 7-speed manual transmission or the 10R60 automatic, while the 2.7-liter EcoBoost is exclusively fitted to the slushbox. 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 models put out 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft in the Bronco Raptor.
Hopefully Ford can deliver on their promise for the features that buyers have been asking for, as things like different colors and modular top options shouldn’t be affected by the same supply chain and superconductor shortages that halt other aspects of manufacturing.
