Last week, Alpha Motor Corporation released a collaboration with a company called Heimplanet. You might not be familiar with either company although we’ve reported on Alpha Motors’ fully electric, single-cab Wolf and double-cab Wolf+ pick up truck concepts. Heimplanet, on the other hand, is a pretty well-known supplier of modern outdoor products based out of Hamburg, Germany. Their main specialty products are a line of futuristic, compact, and inflatable tents. Through a partnership with Alpha Motor Corp, they have created what’s called the Cloudbreak, a geodesic camping tent that is part of a shared vision for electrified outdoor mobility. The Cloudbreak can be installed on both the Wolf and Wolf+ trucks for a futuristic neo-camping adventure.

Will The Alpha Motors- Heimplanet Partnership Bear Fruit?

While the international collaboration between the two companies is cool, don’t be expecting to purchase a Wolf pickup truck with a Cloudbreak tent anytime soon. Alpha Motor Corporation is still a fledgling EV startup with a few unanswered questions about its authenticity, as originally discovered in an article published by insideevs.com. There is essentially no concrete information regarding investor funding, key leadership, or even a definitive long term business plan. Furthermore, it’s strange for a globally recognized company like Heimplanet to “partner” with such a vague and mysterious company, considering the product being showcased isn’t actually available and shows no signs of being so any time soon. Even so, Alpha Motor Corp. still has brilliant design ideas for potential electric vehicles. Beyond their Wolf truck designs, they also have three iterations of a two-door crossover coupe.

Beautiful EV Designs

The Jax CUV features design elements similar to that of a Baja-style VW Bug or a Porsche 911, fully decked out with off-roading tires, a roof rack, rally lights, and a brush guard. The estimated range of the Jax is 250+ miles and can feature either a single motor FWD powertrain or a dual motor 4WD powertrain. The standard coupe version is called the Ace and is a more refined car, supposedly with the single FWD single motor option with the same mileage range. The final iteration is the Ace Performance Edition complete with dual motor AWD and a carbon fiber rear spoiler and front lip.

Hopefully, something substantial comes from Alpha Motor Corporation so that we can experience their beautifully designed concepts in the flesh and maybe see a Cloudbreak Wolf+ truck beyond just a simple rendering. Nonetheless, we ought to keep an eye on the EV startup as beautifully designed EV cars will be a necessary reality soon enough.
