The engineering wizards over at Roush Performance have released a new video showing off their high-powered products in action. The star of the show, however, isn’t the beefy Ford F-150 SC build, but what’s trailing behind it: a Tige ZX ski boat, packing a Roush supercharged 6.2L inboard V8 from the first-generation F-150 Raptor. The luxury vessel is later shown zooming across North Carolina’s Lake Norman, its occupants gleefully taking turns surfing the wake. Meanwhile, the “Roushcharged” 575 Raptor V8, a collaboration between Roush Performance and Indmar Marine Engines, roars above the music.

The powerplant on this beast is a far cry from your Pappy’s Evinrude. Derived from the 6.2L Ford V8 of the first-generation F-150 Raptor, it’s much more akin to that line of powerful truck engines (which earns it a mention from a site focused mainly on automobiles.) The 575 Raptor V8 also benefits from a closed cooling system, as well as a new marine oil pan and pickup tube that keep the engine oil circulating even during hard banks. With Roush’s monster R2300 supercharger as the cherry on top, the Raptor whips up a clean 510 HP and cranks out 580 Ib-ft of torque… Enough power to leave any of its outboard cousins trailing in its wake. Although, it’s not quite what Katech did with Corvette LT5 V8 engines for the United States Coast Guard.

So, we’ve gone over what a beautiful perversion of this Roush Performance supercharged Ford 6.2L V8 Raptor 575 engine, and we know it’ll show your friends a wild time out on the lake of your choice. Here we arrive at some rather bad news: A Tige ZX boat like the one shown in the video will set you back about $128,000 at its base MSRP. Even then, how can you own a boat like this without having a matching Roush F150 Supercharged pickup truck to tow it to the lake and back? We’d wait until we hit the small window between “old” and “antique” to get our hands on this beauty.
