Selling cars is a hard business, and one that is rife with competition. As a dealership, finding a way to make your vehicles more attractive to local customers is key to driving traffic through the door. While some dealerships rely on creative pricing and sales strategies, others create special models to sell on their lots. Gregg Orr Extreme Chevrolet in Ashdown, Arkansas has potentially mastered these tactics selling models like this custom Silverado 1500. At least for a certain demographic, anyway.
This crew cab 2019 Silverado 1500 Texas Edition that was for sale looks particularly handsome in Woodland Green. Under the hood sits the familiar aluminum 5.3L V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Total output is SAE certified at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The Z71 off-road equipment package, which features Rancho monotube shocks, Electronic Hill Descent Control, a two-speed transfer case, a locking rear differential, front skid plates and a heavy-duty air cleaner, has also been fitted.
While the Z71 kit brings some off-road ability to the Chevy Silverado 1500, the team at Gregg Orr Extreme Chevrolet has fitted this truck with some extra goodies. A 3.5 inch Rough Country suspension lift kit replaces the 2-inch factory equipment, as do the 22-inch Fuel Series wheels wrapped in 33-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires.
Having good looking truck on the lot certainly doesn’t hurt foot traffic, but combine that with some killer incentives and people are sure to come through the door. Gregg Orr Extreme Chevrolet ran a special last month were they included a shotgun with the sale of every vehicle in order to celebrate the approaching hunting season. While this isn’t the first time we have heard of a dealership tossing a firearm when someone buys a vehicle, the promotional video put up by Gregg Orr Extreme Chevrolet certainly lets customers know what they’re about.
