After a couple of years, Hennessey Performance Engineering has made enough headway with GM’s encrypted control units to offer tuning packages on some of its more exciting cars. This was first shown with a supercharged Cadillac Escalade recently. But this also meant that it was only a matter of time before the aftermarket company would set its sights on the C8 Corvette and release a tune that would boost the power to more extreme levels – something that it’s been trying to do since 2020. That’s precisely what they’ve done now, unveiling a new supercharged Corvette C8 Stingray called the H700.

Hennessey mated a high-flow centrifugal supercharger and an air induction system with an air-to-water intercooler to the LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine of the Corvette Stingray. Boosting power output to a whopping 708 horsepower and 638 lb-ft of torque. That’s an increase of 44% more ponies and 37% more torque compared to the standard C8 Stingray.
That also means that these upgrades make the H700 more potent than the Corvette Z06, which produces 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. If you own a Stingray already and want more power, this may be a cheaper alternative to trading for the Z06, though, without the wider stance and track-focused suspension. Hennessey also offers an optional enhanced cat-back exhaust for some extra sound appeal.
Hennessey didn’t stop at the performance upgrades for the C8 Corvette Stingray, as the package also includes a Hennessey Heritage Livery set, available in black, blue, silver, red, or white. In addition, customers can choose between 19- or 20-inch lightweight wheels in brushed aluminum, graphite, or black satin finish. The entire package will set customers back $49,950, and it’s available for 2020- 2022 C8 Corvette Stingray models. If you’re just looking for performance, a “power-only” package is also available and priced at a more fetching $34,850, including the tune and supercharger kit.
Customers can order the package via authorized Corvette dealers, and all models receive a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty, giving you further peace of mind to upgrade the performance of your Stingray to new, absurd levels.
