THIS IS THE WORLDS FIRST STRAIGHT-PIPED 2023 CORVETTE Z06

It Is Crazy Loud, And Provides A Noticable Power Boost

The 2023 Corvette Z06 is on sale now. And some people have done the incorrect thing and twin-turbocharged it. This is less than ideal when it comes to celebrating a flat-plane crank V8 engine. Instead, what should be done, is fitting this Chevy supercar with a straight-piped exhaust kit.

A fellow named Mike, also known as Street Speed 717 on YouTube, had his recently purchased Corvette Z06 fitted with a one of a kind exhaust system from Fabspeed. The new sound produced from the newly fitted exhaust system is nothing short of amazing, and fully unleashes the piercing sound of the 5.5L LT6 DOHC V8 engine that revs to 8,600 RPM.

Fabspeed Motorsport, based out of Fort Washington Pennsylvania is a high end performance shop that caters to the exotic car club servicing Porsche, Lamborghini, and Ferrari regularly, the C8 Z06 is no exception however. Mike had his C8 Z06 fitted with both the Fabspeed Sport Cats, and a Supersport X-Pipe Catback Exhaust System. The sport Cats alone cost $4,995.95 meanwhile, the X-Pipe system has a starting price of $3,995.95. It might seem like a lot of money, but it produces an irreplaceable sound that, according to Mike, you need to hear in person.

Mike’s words after driving his newly refined Z06 were “that is like an actual race car.’ In addition to an amazing sound, the entire setup provided an extra 26 horsepower and shaved off around 40 pounds of weight. Mike’s horsepower jumped from 640 to 666 all in all. The advertised max horsepower from Chevrolet’s debut video for the Z06 is 670. While it’s not abnormal to see modded vehicles at car shows all the time, this is the very first straight piped 2023 Corvette Z06. And If the sound and excitement emanating from Mike’s video are something to go by, it certainly won’t be the last, and if nothing else, it will hold the title for loudest C8 Z06, ever.
