Chevrolet will likely never build a supertruck that could be considered a rival to the Ford F-150 Raptor. Luckily, if you’re looking to get a Chevrolet Silverado that could compete with the likes of the Ford F-150 Raptor or the soon-to-be discontinued Ram TRX, there are some aftermarket solutions out there, including this 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Fox Factory Edition.
This very special 2024 Chevrolet Silverado takes on the task of turning the legendary pickup into a super truck with the assistance of a Whipple supercharger mated to the vehicle’s 6.2-liter V8 engine, which produces 700 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. However, that’s not the only thing that makes this truck stand out; with semi-active Live Valve shocks and Brenthel brothers suspension, this truck will race over dunes while tapping into its incredible power with ease, though careful with the throttle on the softer sand, you might get stuck.
Like in the F-150 Raptor, the Fox Live Valve shocks pick up on acceleration, braking, and steering cues while analyzing the terrain every few thousandths of a second. This results in a highly smooth driving experience no matter what you’re putting the truck through. The system connects to the truck’s ECU and chassis systems, which took around three years to configure, but the company didn’t stop there. Each of these Chevrolet Silverado Fox Factory Edition pickups also has three terrain-specific drive modes, which are easily selectable through the dash, and the company intends to offer more customizable drive modes in the future via the Fox mobile app.
The amount of engineering that Fox put into the suspension of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Factory Edition is insane. The final result of this engineering marvel is 14.5 inches of usable suspension travel, plus stronger 6061-T6 billet upper control arms, high-strength iron steering knuckles, and boxed and internally gusseted lower control arms. A set of 37-inch BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires shields this.
Each truck is backed by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty, and only 500 will be built in total, meaning they’ll be extremely rare but all that more special.
