2024 Chevrolet Colorado Adds ZR2 Bison Package, Removes Desert Boss
On the configurator, the MSRP for the 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison is $60,935, including the destination fee. And, it’s not just you getting hit with the sticker shock. That’s more than the original MSRP of the 2020 C8 Corvette, which is how we ratio value here at MC&T. Just how many (insert vehicle here) can one acquire for the price of a Corvette? In this case, just one ZR2 Bison.
If you’re looking for some accessories, there are plenty. That includes a bed-mounted sports bar with a sail panel, which opens the door for a 40-inch off-road roof light bar. There are also options for auxiliary off-road lights mounted on the truck’s hood. There are removable off-road assist steps for the rock sliders on the pickup, and we highly recommend taking those off when you go off the beaten path, as specific terrain will result in them getting ripped off the trucks.
Customers can also add a front Winch by ComeUp and bronzed recovery hooks; there’s even a steel drive shaft for added safety while rock crawling. But that’s not all, as under the Bed Products tab of the options section for the ZR2 Bison configurator, customers can choose from all sorts of accessories, including a Tri-Fold recovery shovel, Jerry Can, Jerry Can Spout, a bed utility grab handle, fire extinguisher holder, Molle panel clamps, traction running boards, roof top tent, a snorkel, and a lot more. If you have it on your wishlist for your off-road rig for the weekends. You’ll likely find it as an available option for the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison. It should equate to having your truck entirely configured precisely as you want it to and ready to play straight from the factory.
Sure, all of these things will equate to an even more expensive truck, as the ZR2 Bison package is about $12,000 USD (which is more than expected), but it’s not like you wouldn’t have to spend the extra money eventually to buy these options from the aftermarket, let alone factory calibrated DSSV dampers with jounce shocks and a lift to accomodate 35-inch tires. Even if you don’t buy it when ordering your truck, it’s excellent that Chevrolet offers all of these components to customers to configure and build their dream off-roading rig right from the factory.
