Ford Performance showed up in full force during the 2022 King of The Hammers event that is currently taking place and will end on February 3rd. One of the selected teams driving the Ford Bronco 4600-class truck is Fun-Haver Off-Road, which means Vaughn Gittin Jr. will be behind the wheel of one of the ultimate Broncos during the event along with his teammate Loren Healy.

Durability testing of the 4600 Ford Bronco is vital to ensure the teams and the vehicles are prepared for anything during the event. Thankfully, we get a closer look at the testing stage as Vaughn Gittin Jr. posted a video that gives us a closer look at the Bronco on his YouTube channel. The Bronco 4600 was molded into a rock crawling machine that we see a small amount of in the video. Another essential testing that took place in the video includes remote pit stops. Since King of The Hammers is an endurance event, the teams must have all the boxes checked to ensure that they’re prepared for anything that happens.

Ford Bronco 4600: Details

The Ford Bronco 4600 is undoubtedly more of a production-based vehicle when compared to the Ford Bronco DR. Underneath the hood sits a stock 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic powertrain. In addition, the vehicle runs on a competition-tuned High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) System, featuring unique Fox Racing Shocks from the production model. As we can see very clearly in the video, the interior is relatively stripped-down, featuring only what is needed for racing, like center console cupholders.

As Vaughn Gittin Jr. stated within the video, the 4600 Broncos will need to choose their battles during the King of The Hammers event, and they no doubt will be doing plenty of winching as they crawl over rocky terrain. However, even with the added suspension system, the vehicle has its limits, and the last thing they want to do during the event is break the Bronco.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
