Ford has just dropped five new concept Broncos to highlight their extensive parts catalogue that will be available when the SUV hits dealer floors. Each of these concepts takes a different approach as to how to maximize the 4×4’s capabilities in the great outdoors, all with a different discipline in mind. This Ford Bronco Outer Banks Fishing Guide concept is a backwoods angler’s dream.
Fishing is a tremendously popular sport for a great number of outdoorsmen and families, and is best enjoyed in a tranquil environment. What could be a better spot to fish than someplace that you have to trek through the trails to reach. The Ford Bronco Fishing Guide concept was purpose-built with a professional fishing guide in mind, specifically for those along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Keeping with this North Carolina theme, Ford used an Outer Banks Series Bronco as the basis for the build.

To better serve a pro angler, Ford fit this Bronco Outer Banks-based concept with a host of accessories. First up was a Bestop Sunrider first-row soft top, which offers a bit more of an open-air experience. There’s also a Yakima LockNLoad Platform roof rack, which is riding on concept roof rails and crossbars. A custom-made fishing pole holder and seat perch have been fixed using the fender-mounted trail sights, providing a great place to wait and reel. A Ford Performance modular front bumper, light pod, and safari bar give the truck a more aggressive appearance than it carries from the factory as well.
While we likely won’t see the Ford Bronco Fishing Guide or any of the other concepts hit production, they give us a great look at the versatility of the platform. With 200 factory-backed accessories available from dealerships, we expect many Ford Bronco buyers will kit out their trucks in a unique way such as this. It would have been a great add to the 2020 SEMA Show. Alas.
