Now that the Ford Bronco Sport has been in customers hands for a little while, people are itching to personalize one of the first truly desirable and off-road capable crossovers on the market. Luckily, the aftermarket parts scene is really beginning to take hold. And one of the biggest names in the off road game, Rough Country, have just released their initial round of 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Accessories. The first round includes lighting accessories and a 1.5 inch suspension lift kit.
The most interesting part is that lift kit, as raising the independent suspension, unibody Bronco Sport isn’t as easy as it’ll be on the body on frame Ford Bronco. But the 1.5 inch lift definitely gives a more aggressive look, and delivers better off-road performance in two ways. First is the obvious increase in ride height, which gives better approach, breakover and departure angles. The kit also allows for more aggressive tires than otherwise possible, which is probably the biggest benefit. Rough Country claims their 2021 Bronco Sport kit can handle 245/65 R17 tires, up from the 235/65/R17 rubber the stock Badlands model offers.

But unfortunately, the kit doesn’t work on the Badlands model. Instead, think of this as a way for lower trim buyers to upgrade their vehicle closer to Badlands spec for less. The kit lists for a rather reasonable $249.95, but that’s not too surprising considering it’s just spacers, not all new springs or dampers. Still, Rough Country claims there is no decrease in ride quality.
Rough Country’s lighting options look like a high quality way to add some style and boost visibility on the Ford Bronco Sport. Rough Country is offering two front mounted options, a spotlight nudge bar and a LED light strip. Both fit into the lower air intake, giving a nicely integrated look. The nudge bar has more functionality, however, providing some front end protection and allowing the option of two or four spotlights. Up above, a roof rack mounted LED light bar is also available.
None of the light bars are listed on their website, but should be soon, as this is just the first look. Overall, Rough Country has an appealing lineup accessories for the already popular Ford Bronco Sport.
