The Winter Solstice is behind us, Hanukkah is in full swing, Christmas is just days away, and the New Year has everybody eagerly awaiting a fresh start. Indeed, The Holidays™ are here. And whatever your reason may be to celebrate, Ford Motor Company has given us just one more reason with the announcement of the 2024 Mustang horsepower and torque figures. This isn’t news to you if you’ve been paying attention, but we thought to share the wholesome video that Ford shared to go along with the news.

Sitting at a dinner table in what looks to be the famous Vinsetta Garage restaurant on Woodward Avenue, the first we’re introduced to is the Mustang Marketing Manager, Jim Owens. Second on the list is none other than NASCAR driver Hailie Deegan. Then comes S650 Mustang Chief Engineer, Ed Krenz. After that, championship-winning drifting and off-road driver, Vaughn Gittin Jr. says hello. The woman responsible for the S650 Mustang digital displays, Ruth Vann, was also in attendance. Finally, the Exterior Design Manager, Chris Walter, arrives and shares a little insight about the new Mustangs chiseled body.

The whole point of the video is to drum up excitement about the 2024 Ford Mustang. The horsepower, revealed to S650 Chief Engineer Ed Krenz via text at the dinner table, shares both the GT and Dark Horse numbers. First shared was the GT, and it can officially provide a respectable 486 horsepower. That makes it the most powerful Ford built GT ever and an official 10 horsepower bump over 2022-2023 models. The Dark Horse on the other hand, which has opened a “new chapter of performance” for the blue oval company, can produce a whopping 500 horsepower. That makes it mightier than either the Dodge Charger and Challenger Scat Pack, as well as the formidable Chevrolet Camaro SS. It’s one powerful pony, and customers won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on it when the 2024 Ford Mustang begins production in the spring of 2023.
