Competition for the Ford Mustang has left the stage, leaving it as the only vehicle offering within the muscle car segment. But the company isn’t about to stop and twiddle its thumbs as it rakes in sales from muscle car enthusiasts. In an exciting turn of events, Ford has initiated a new Mustang Competitive Conquest deal for select customers, and it’s aimed square at exisitng muscle car buyers.
Ford Mustang Competition Discount: Details
According to Cars Direct, Ford recently sent a cash deal offering to dealers, available to owners of select muscle cars. The bonus cash deal gives customers $1,000 off the 2024 Mustang EcoBoost or GT, but only to customers that are current owners or lessees of 1995 or newer Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger, or Dodge Charger. This offering is national and will be available until April 30th. Interestingly, all three of these cars are still working to eliminate their remaining stock produced last year, which means they’re still on the market.
The bulletin doesn’t appear to require a trade-in or lease termination to obtain the deal. What’s cool about this is that incentives for the 2024 Ford Mustang have been relatively non-existent. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear this deal is offered for the Mustang Dark Horse, so if you have your sights set on that, you won’t be getting a $1,000 discount for owning another muscle car already.
It’s interesting that the incentive is only $1,000, considering that the amount doesn’t even fully cover the $1,595 destination charge added to the top of every vehicle purchase. However, we suppose some level of a discount is better than nothing, especially if you have your sights set on getting a new S650 Mustang. Keep in mind that this incentive is exclusive to customers who already own one of the Mustang’s competitors. It’ll be interesting to see if people actually bite on this offer or not.
