HUMMER EV MAKES IT TOTALLY COOL IF YOU’VE GOT CRABS

Let Us Explain.

GMC Hummer EV King Of The CrabWalk

The GMC Hummer EV is packed with a ton of technology, as one would expect from an electric vehicle in this day and age. However, one of the most exciting features the Hummer EV has is the Crab Mode which enables the vehicle to strafe in a diagonal motion. A recent one-minute-long commercial made with many skillfully trained crabs and LeBron James showcases this very feature.

The commercial feels like it was a few minutes late to the Superbowl featuring a long lede, some comedy, a familiar track (“up and comer” Missy Elliot), and of course, a celebrity in King James, of Los Angeles. Formally Cleveland. Neé Miami. And before the jersey burning, Cleveland originally.

No words are spoken, and none need be as we see a high number of crabs praising the GMC Hummer EV for its ability to Crabwalk. As seen in the commercial, with just the touch of a button, CrabWalk Mode can be enabled to lock the front and rear differentials, turn all four wheels to the same angle, and move in a diagonal motion. This is done with the assistance of the Hummer EV’s four-wheel steering, which gives the driver considerably more control of such an enormous truck and SUV.

GMC Hummer EV: Other Cool Features

Crabwalk mode is just one feature of the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1, which has an absurd amount of output, tallying 1,000 hp and about 1,000 hp of torque. Additionally, the Hummer EV features an available Extract Mode, which allows the vehicle to raise its ride height by a full six inches to clear boulders and ford water.

Of course, with the price of the Hummer EV and its size, we aren’t likely going to see anyone taking this vehicle on any overwhelmingly rugged off-road trails. But it’s certainly capable of taking on some hefty tracks if any owner was willing to risk damaging the $80,000+ vehicle.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
