The time has finally come; Jeep is going to launch its first US-bound all-electric vehicle this fall under the guise of the Wagoneer S. As it stands, Jeep offers just one all-electric vehicle in its lineup, the Avenger, which launched in Europe in 2022. Accompanying this announcement is a short teaser video featuring an image of the car along with some very impressive stats for the vehicle, including 600 horsepower and a 0-60 time of “around” 3.5 seconds. Moreover, its aesthetic looks prime for taking on future entrants from Rivian and Land Rover.

Jeep Wagoneer S EV: Details

The Wagoneer S will come with Jeep’s 4xe-branded all-wheel drive as standard, along with the company’s all-terrain management system. Unfortunately, there’s yet to be a word on trims, motor tech, battery size, or pricing for the all-electric SUV as of right now, and we’ll have to wait until the release date gets closer before more information is revealed. The Jeep Wagoneer S will go on sale in the US before hitting other markets worldwide.

Jeep has stated that it designed the Wagoneer S with aerodynamic efficiency in mind. Just by looking at the teaser photo, this is very evident as the vehicle steps away from the brand’s traditional blocky structure and offers a more rounded vehicle. The lower bumper features two blade-like side inlets, which will also help improve the vehicle’s aerodynamics, though it does look cool. The company’s signature seven-slot grille features LEDs, which is a futuristic touch to the SUV, while the rear will likely feature a solid LED light bar across the back, reminiscent of the bar that stretches from both ends at the front.

The Jeep Wagoneer S will be the first of two electric Jeep SUVs planned to launch in 2024, with the smaller Recon expected to enter production sometime this year. The Recon will have a more reasonable price tag as it’s not part of Jeep’s luxury SUV segment.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
