K&N FILTERS MAKING FACE MASKS NOW TO COMBAT CORONAVIRUS

They Are Experts In Filtration After All

The coronavirus pandemic has forced the entire world to change the way that they do things, and that doesn’t exclude corporations and businesses. We already know that Detroit’s automakers stepped up here in the U.S. to produce some 80,000 ventilators and other PPE equipment using car parts and materials to supply the national stockpile. Well, now another automotive company is getting into the face mask game: K&N Filters.

K&N Filters have been building some of the industry’s best products since they first started back in 1969, and you may even have some of their products fitted to your car at this very moment. Unlike the PPE equipment produced by Ford Motor Company and General Motors, these face masks are not being made to support the first responders on the front lines of the pandemic. Instead, these new face masks will allow customers to rep a little bit of automobilia when they are required to be masked up in public.

Starting at $19.99 for a two pack, K&N Filters new face masks actually look to be a high quality product. At least they look a helluva lot better than the white medical masks that everyone’s got on nowadays. The masks feature a ProCool breathable fabric construction, adjustable straps, and proprietary “Silvadur” technology. K&N Filters does state that the silver ions should help enhance your level of protection and reduce odor, though research is still ongoing as to the effectiveness of silver nanoparticles as an antiviral therapy. The masks come in three colors: black, gray, and camo. All of the masks feature the K&N Filters logo in the upper right hand corner.

Masks are going to remain a part of our lives for some time to come. It is almost then no surprise to see a company like K&N Filters get in on the action, especially when you consider their background in filtration. If you feel like your current face garment isn’t quite representative of your love of cars, you can check out these new offerings here.
