If you want your GMC Sierra to run with the big dogs like the Ram TRX and the Ford Raptor, then you should start thinking about looking up PaxPower for a little help. The PaxPower tuning company based out of Texas has already built a Silverado-based Ford Raptor-killer in the past, also called “Jackal”, and now they’re offering a stout PaxPower GMC Sierra Jackal. It should hold people over until the GMC Sierra AT4X arrives.

PaxPower Stage 1 GMC Sierra Jackal Kit

This time PaxPower decided to stick with the main idea and name, Jackal, they just went with a different GM truck to put on steroids. PaxPower will be offering the Sierra-based Jackal performance package in two different stages. The Stage 1 Sierra Jackal will come with adjustable King 2.5-inch racing performance front coilovers with reservoirs and ride adjusters and the same for the rear. BajaKits fabricated upper control arms with uniball joints which are stronger than the factory-installed ball joints are also included.

With a set of 17×9-inch wheels wrapped in 35×12.5xR17 off-road tires, you will see a 3.5-inch lift from your stock GMC Sierra ride height. You also get a custom replacement hood, Borla S-type stainless steel dual exhaust system, and 3-inch fender flares. Yes, this Stage 1 PaxPower GMC Sierra Jackal performance kit will show up any Trial Boss or AT4 on the road, but the kit comes at a price. Expect to shell out $17,950 retail without the optional supercharger upgrade.

PaxPower Stage 2 GMC Sierra Jackal Kit

The PaxPower Jackal Stage 2 kit will cost you $10,000 more with a retail value of $29,950 – still no supercharger included yet. But you will get a long-travel BajaKits Front Prerunner suspension system, Deaver progressive leaf springs, and extended CV axles added. You will still receive the same King coilovers and shocks that you do with the Stage 1 kit, but the Stage 2 kit will offer you 3-inch wider fabricated upper and lower control arms. The same 17×9-inch wheels and 35-inch tires come along with this Stage 2 kit.

Supercharger Upgrade

On to the PaxPower GMC Sierra Jackal supercharger add-on. No worries here, if you chose to go with the 5.3-liter or the 6.2-liter engine option, PaxPower has a Whipple supercharger setup for both. PaxPower claims their supercharged setup will boost your GMC Sierra 5.3L from 355 horsepower to 500 horses and will take your 420 horsepower 6.2L up to 650 horsepower. This upgrade will be tacked on to the base price of the Stage 1 and Stage 2 kits and will run you $12,500.

All PaxPower GMC Sierra Jackal kits will come with a complete calibrated ECU and an optional 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. Some of the other options you will get to choose from are a fabricated bumper upgrade, different front-end and rear-end designs, LED light bars and pods from Rigid and Baja designs, AMP Research power deploy running boards, different bed cover options, Addictive Desert Design chase rack, and optional 20-inch rims. If you want to kill the Ford Raptor, the PaxPower GMC Sierra Jackal is the way to go. Or, you could get a PaxPower Raptor, too.
