The GMC Sierra 1500 Jimmy conversion from Flat Out Autos is an epic creation, bringing back a legendary pickup from the past. These things are hard to come by due to the amount of work needed to build a single one. However, one is available on Bring a Trailer right now, and with just 212 miles on the odometer, it’s brand-new. But the auction ends in a few hours at the time of this writing, so it’s time to make a decision!

2022 GMC Sierra 1500 “Jimmy” Auction: Details

Building a “Jimmy” Conversion of either the GMC Sierra 1500 or Chevrolet Silverado 1500 involves disassembling the truck, shortening the frame, opening the cabin to the bed, and installing a roll bar and bench seat behind the front seats. This particular Flat Out Autos “Jimmy” build is finished in gray with a color-matched bed cap. The truck rides on 22″ Rotiform wheels with a lifted suspension with Fox shocks and BDS front upper control arms.

On the inside, all of the safety features that come standard with the GMC Sierra remain, as well as all the luxury features, including the heated and ventilated front seats and power-folding rear bench. However, the seats have been reupholstered in blue leather with white piping. The interior also features a wireless cellular phone charger and a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.

Power for the GMC Sierra 1500 “Jimmy” comes from a 5.3-liter V8 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller acquired this particular 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 “Jimmy” in 2023 and is now offering the pickup with a clean Carfax report and a Texas title. As of the time of writing, the current bid sits at $61,500, with the auction set to end in just three days. Remember that this pickup is brand new, and the original asking price for the GMC Jimmy conversion from Flat Out Autos is $129,950 for the base build, which includes the cost of purchasing a new Sierra. So, if anyone gets the pickup for below $100,000, they’re getting a bargain.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
