Roadster Shop is synonymous with vintage performance muscle, specializing in fully built chassis for everything from the Chevrolet C10 to the Ford Bronco, to old muscle cars like the Camaro and Mustang, and even the G-Body. Look no further than the 1969 860 horsepower Camaro they built for Joe Rogan as a great example. Or you can take a look at “Split Second”, a 1970 1500 horsepower twin turbo Camaro in a newly released video. Co-Owner Jeremy Gerber provides a closer look:

Powering the Roadster Shop Camaro is a twin turbo Nelson Street Warrior 427 small block with two 73mm Nelson turbos providing that majestic whistle a turbo makes. Feeding the turbos is a custom louvered style front end where air is directed straight into the filters and turbos themselves. They blend in with the front fascia of the car and sit adjacent to the headlights, in case you didn’t notice. The Street Warrior engine also sports a dual fuel setup consisting of 16 fuel injectors and a custom gas tank. “Split Second” shifts through the gears with a Manual valve body 4L80 transmission and houses a solid axle 9-inch rear end.

Adjustable Fox SV 4.0 shocks sit under the full perimeter weld-in FastTrack unibody chassis of the Camaro and provide excellent rigidity and the allow for a low slung look. The 1970 Camaro sits about 4-inches from the ground; however with modified quarter panels Roadster Shop made sure nothing would rub under full compression of suspension. Massive power calls for massive brakes. “Split Second” sports a 14-inch Brembo Gran Turismo package behind 19-inch HRE wheels in the front and a 20×12 setup in the front.

Based out of Mundelein Illinois, Roadster Shop has been contributing to the growth of the muscle car scene for 25 years. This 1970 1500 horsepower Camaro is only a sliver of the abilities they possess. A full gallery of the build of “Split Second” is available on Roadster Shops website.
