FORD MAVERICK TAKES ON A SPORTIER LOOK AND SOUND WITH MRT DUAL EXHAUST

It looks good, and sounds even better.

The aftermarket is booming with Ford Maverick toys. The self proclaimed do-it-all compact truck has seen multiple companies add Maverick upgrades to their catalogs. MRT is one of those companies and they just added a Dual Tip Exhaust setup to their inventory.

Earlier this year MRT debuted an axle-back exhaust system for the 2022 Ford Maverick, an aggressive sounding upgrade that gave any do-it-yourself guy or gal the ability to upgrade their exhaust system in a matter of 60-minutes using simple hand-tools. The same goes for this Performance Dual Tip Exhaust system. Both of these upgrades fitment is specific to the optional 2.0L Ecoboost engine, shared by the Bronco Sport Badlands. The 2.0L engine produces 250 horsepower and 277 Lb-Ft of torque. That’s 60 horsepower better than the hybrid engine that comes standard for all three trim levels, XL, XLT, and Lariat.

While it may not make the Maverick roar like that of a Shelby Mustang GT500KR, the dual exhaust setup makes a noticeable difference, primarily in the cab. It’s not an overpowering sound but a very present one nonetheless. Per MRT, cab noise sounds a bit louder and more aggressive on take off while maintaining a steady growl at idle. These tips do not feature any “put away” technology found on the proposed Bronco retractable exhaust tip system but they do come in two color finishes to enhance the exterior look of your 2.0L Ecoboost engine Maverick. The MRT Street Performance Dual Tip Exhaust system comes standard in a polished T304 stainless steel with a price point of $759.99. You can also purchase the “Black Ops” tips that feature blacked out tips for an extra $100.00.

MRT products are made in the USA. The company engineers, designs, and builds everything just south of Detroit.
