ROUSH RAPTOR UPDATED FOR 2020 MODEL YEAR

The 5.11 Tactical Edition Roush F-150 Also Joins The Line-up

2020 Ford F-150 Raptor Roush

Aftermarket performance part companies are varied and numerous, but few have had the long term success that has bestowed Roush Performance. Famous for modifying Ford products, specifically Mustangs, Roush has a reputation for building some of the coolest muscle cars you can buy. Now though, Roush has unveiled two updated Ford F-150 variants for the 2020 model year: the Roush Raptor and the Roush F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition.

For the 2020 model year, the Roush Raptor picks up some new stopping power thanks to an upgraded Roush front brake kit. Alcon supplies the new pads and rotors, which are now covered by some slick black brake calipers. Otherwise the truck remains unchanged from the 2019 model year. That isn’t such a bad thing however, as Roush has made sure their Raptor is loaded up with plenty of exclusive kit.

For starters, there is a set of 18-inch satin gray split-spoke wheels wrapped in 35” General Tire Grabber A/TX rubber. The wheels come with two sets of integrated rings, one red and one black, should you want to add some flair to your wheels. There is also a custom axle-back exhaust system complete with 5-inch tips, as well as a host of Roush interior bits. The Roush Raptor package carries and MSRP of $16,500.

The Roush F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition on the other hand is a brand new product from Roush. Working in collaboration with California-based 5.11 Tactical, Roush set out to make a truck that carries the feel of law enforcement and the military. Unlike the six cylinder Raptor, under the hood of this special F-150 sits a Roush supercharged 5.0L V8 engine pumping out 650 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque. All of that power heads to the ground via a set of 20-inch Roush custom wheels wrapped in 33-inch General Grabber all-terrain tires. To make the best use of that off-road rubber, Roush has also fitted the 5.11 Tactical Edition with a Fox Performance Series Suspension.

The kit is slated to come in at $30,000, but it does come with a few more perks than just the performance parts. Every 5.11 Tactical Edition will come with a Performance Gear Kit, which contains a heavy-duty first responder’s multi-tool, a tactical pen, a steel multi-tool money clip, a hat, a USA flag patch, and a tactical duffle bag.

Both trucks are covered by Roush Performance’s 3 year/36,000 mile limited warranty.
