The S550 Ford Mustang offers the option to equip a rear spoiler, but only if you purchase the GT Performance Pack, which sits between the standard Mustang GT and the rowdier Mach 1. There is no middle ground for those that just want the spoiler. That is up until now, as the PP1 spoiler is now available to purchase on its own. Just head on over to the Ford Performance Parts website, and the wing spoiler is yours to buy a la carte if you choose to do so.

The rear spoiler fits all S550 Mustangs, and comes primed and ready to be painted, which gives potential buyers the opportunity for some personalization towards the modification. The spoiler, like any other, is designed to provide added downforce to the vehicle along with adding a bit of extra style to the Mustang. We feel the purpose of this little guy is mostly the latter.

Ford Mustang Performance Package 1: Details

Purchasing the Ford Mustang GT Performance Package 1 rear spoiler as an accessory instead of opting for the entire package is undoubtedly the budget-conscious route. With a retail price at $550 for the Mustang GT PP1 rear spoiler, you can get the added visual appeal at the back while saving $5,950. Sure, you won’t get the added features that come with the package, which otherwise includes:

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
