The Dodge Demon is the ultimate expression of what the Brotherhood of Muscle stands for. It is almost hard to think of something more ludicrous than an 840 horsepower drag racing machine with a factory warranty, but that of course is where the aftermarket steps in. Built by SpeedKore in Grafton, Wisconsin, this carbon-fiber-bodied Demon is one of the craziest muscle cars money can buy. And it’s currently up for sale at Bring A Trailer. This isn’t the first time this rare opportunity to own a SpeedKore Dodge Demon has presented itself, but it’s a rare opportunity nonetheless.
This SpeedKore Demon is just one of five built to highlight the company’s pre-impregnated carbon fiber manufacturing capabilities. The entire body of the Challenger has been replaced with carbon panels, providing weight savings of over 200 pounds. Shortly after the company debuted the project at SEMA 2018, a SpeedKore Demon ran an obscenely fast 8.6-second quarter-mile at 159.54 mph. Though to be fair, that car did make 1,400 horsepower at the crank.
This particular SpeedKore build doesn’t feature the same performance upgrades as the SEMA car, as BaT reports that it remains stock aside from the carbon body. We’re not sure that this Demon has done much drag racing either, as only 181 miles currently sit on the odometer. That said, it is being offered for sale by SpeedKore themselves, so we wouldn’t put it past them.
If this car wasn’t unique enough for you yet, SpeedKore says that it was one of the development vehicles for the carbon fiber treatments now found on the SRT Widebody products. Quite the Mopar gathering flex, indeed.
All of that rarity is going to come at a cost however. The Dodge Demon has already become a pricey collectible, and this one is far more special than most of the other 3,300 units out there. Bidding has already reached $90,000 at the time this article was written, with six days left on the clock. If you want this piece of Mopar history, you’re going to have to bring the big bucks.
