Few aftermarket company’s make better looking, higher quality or more extreme muscle car restomods by Ringbrothers. They’ve racked up numerous SEMA awards, and made car enthusiasts everywhere drool over their incredible builds. Now, you’ve got the rare chance to buy one of their bespoke project cars, in the form of the Ringbrothers Mustang Copperback currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer.

Copperback is a highly modified 1967 Ford Mustang, and as with most Ringbrothers builds, is a complete work of art. Before we get into the details of the car, just know it has lots of carbon fiber, a completely reworked interior, and a Roush Performance V8 under the hood. It’s also practically begging to be driven, with only 150 miles on the odometer.

The build started back in 2007 with the donor Mustang. It was completely rebodied and fitted with a carbon fiber hood and rear trunk panel. The side air intakes were widened and reshaped, while the bumpers were shortened. Up front, you can see the new grille and facia design, while the back has a subtle ducktail and rear-side exit exhausts. The car is finished in Copper Burnt Orange Metallic, and it looks stunning.

As for the performance, power isn’t specified, but it’s got to be plenty fast with the Roush Performance 427 cubic inch V8. Engine upgrades include a Dart Iron Eagle block with aluminum cylinder heads, an individual throttle body fuel injection system. The exhaust system is comprised of ceramic-coated Magnaflow exhaust headers and a heat shield-wrapped 3” exhaust system with SpinTech mufflers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual, and Currie Ford 9” limited-slip rear end with a 3.55:1 gear ratio.

Handling should also be top notch. Suspension features Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Total Control front setup with a triangulated four-link rear setup, and Ridetech adjustable coilovers at all four corners. Fenders are widened all around to fit massive and sticky 255/30 front 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires, mounted on three-piece 19” iForged wheels. Braking is dealt with 15” diameter front  and 14” diameter rear rotors with Baer 6S monoblock calipers.

The interior looks just as great as the exterior, with a sophisticated tan and black leather covering just about everything. There are lots of solid aluminum and carbon fiber accents, and everything is modernized with a Kenwood touchscreen head unit and Rockford Fosgate surround sound system.

Want it? So do we, but you’ll have to fork up more than the $125,000 bid on the car at the time of writing. With only 9 days left on the auction, interested buyers should act quickly too. For such a high quality and fantastic looking build, we feel this Ringbrothers Mustang is worth every penny it sells for.
