Boost District has been working on increasing the C8 Corvette E-Ray’s already ridiculous boost. How will it do this? With the assistance of turbochargers. After placing the car on the dyno to obtain performance figures, the team took the twin-turbo 2024 Corvette E-Ray to the drag strip to do some quarter-mile runs, and the results are as impressive as you might expect.
Twin-Turbo Corvette E-Ray: Details
According to Corvette Blogger, Roshan of Boost District also brought out the supercharged C8 Corvette Stingray to make a couple of runs and test how that performs. Though, the E-Ray is where our main interest lies. The turbos have been mounted lower on the car, and the plumbing is visible as the vehicle launches down the tarmac. But the turbos aren’t the only modifications that were made to the Corvette E-Ray, as the car also sports Lingenfelter Performance Engineering pistons, a direct injection fuel pump, and a heavy-duty clutch. Of course, the stock computer has been unlocked and calibrated to handle the added modifications.
Outside of the modifications, the Corvette E-Ray is still relatively stock with the cam, heads, cats, and PS4S tires all remaining from when the car rolled off the assembly line. The first run for the vehicle is at 9.85 seconds at 148 mph. This was followed by a new E-Ray record quarter-mile of 9.741 seconds at 152.99 mph. Unfortunately, the power figures of the twin-turbo Corvette E-Ray remain a mystery, but the video description claims that the car has 1,000 horsepower.
The video below also showcases the supercharged Stingray making some runs, and it manages to pull some wheelies as it takes off the line. Those that might be interested in purchasing a C8 Corvette Twin Turbo package will need to shell out $21,250 which includes the installation and tune for the car.
