While it’s debut was quickly overshadowed by that of the Bronco, the 2021 Ford F-150 ushered in a new generation for the Blue Oval’s best seller. Ford was fairly forthcoming with all the details about this new pickup truck at its launch, but information related to popular packages was noticeably missing. Well thanks to a report from TFL Truck, we now have a bit of information about the price tag attached to the FX4 Off-Road Package.

According to the report, the FX4 Off-Road Package for the 2021 Ford F-150 will carry an MSRP of $1,005. This information came to the publication via a dealer report, and represents a price hike of $100 over the package’s current MSRP. However, Ford does plan to give buyers a bit of added capability for the extra cash.

That same dealer report also states that the FX4 Off-Road Package will also be gaining the Rock Crawl driving mode that debuted with the Super Duty Tremor models this year. The mode helps the truck’s computers round out the inputs for an easier experience when dealing with gnarly terrain in 4-low.

The FX4 Off-Road Package found on the 2020 models also includes an electronic-locking rear differential, off-road tuned shock absorbers, skid plates, Ford’s Hill Descent Control, and the “FX4 Off-Road” decal. We’d be shocked if this hardware didn’t carry over for the new 2021 Ford F-150, though the full list of included equipment is not yet available. Expect that to change soon as fall approaches.

It is nice to see that the fan-favorite FX4 Off-Road Package is making a return for the 2021 model year, and it is even better to see that it doesn’t cost much more than before. This is especially true after Ford’s future CEO Jim Farley noted that F-150 buyers are willing to pay more for a vehicle with added tech features.
