Make The Maverick Sound Mean

The 2022 Ford Maverick became an overnight sensation with the aftermarket, with the SEMA Show immediately demonstrating a strong aftermarket demand for add-ons, such as body kits, lifts, wheels, and of course, and exhaust. We’ve seen a few exhaust kits debut thus far, but the rollout appears far from over, as we now get our first look at the Street Series Cat-Back Exhaust System by MagnaFlow.

2022 Ford Maverick MagnaFlow Exhaust Kit: Details

Fitment for the MagnaFlow Street Series Exhaust is meant for the 2022 Ford Maverick with the optional 2.0L Ecoboost engine which has also been seen in the Bronco Sport Badlands. The engine puts out 250 horsepower, and is a $1,085 option via the build and price tool on Ford’s website. That 4-cylinder engine is a little more performance oriented than the standard 2.5L hybrid engine which puts out a measly 191 horsepower, hence the ability to make the 2.0L sound more aggressive. The hardware itself consists of 2.5-inch diameter tubing with 5.5-inch tips that measure 3.5-inches in diameter. The tips are stainless steel, black coated, and are both scratch and heat resistant. The system also sports dual tips that exit on the same side behind the left rear tire.

According to MagnaFlow’s website this is one of the most aggressive sounding exhaust systems they offer for the 2022 Ford Maverick. Listening to their provided sound samples confirms it’s tones are more consistent with that of a muscle car than a compact gas sipping daily driver. It won’t roar like the beast of a 5.0L Coyote engine however the change in tune is significant, especially in the cabin where it sounds most aggressive.

The MagnaFlow Street Series Cat-Back Exhaust System for the Ford Maverick is priced at $749 and features quick and simple bolt-on installation so any do-it-yourself can upgrade their ride once the part arrives in the mail.
