2023 CORVETTE Z06 FRONT CLIP SOMEHOW ENDED UP FOR SALE ONLINE

Oddly, This Isn’t The First Time Something Like This Has Happened With The Z06

The 2023 Corvette Z06 is slated to begin production in late spring. And because of that, one would assume that C8 Z06 parts are unavailable for purchase online, right? Wrong! Someone recently revealed that they were able to buy a front fascia clip for the upcoming supercar, and took to the internet to prove it. Even more peculiar is that this isn’t the first time someone’s got a hold of Z06 pre-production parts either, and may shine light on what’s to come.

A MidEngine Corvette Forum member posted he acquired some “garage art” in his forum post sharing the front fascia of the 2023 Z06. The post doesn’t mention where or from whom he purchased this piece of bodywork, however it does reveal carbon grill inserts and shows how they are expected to be integrated onto the front of the upcoming Z06. This would appear to be the first time the internet has seen such a photo of the carbon grill inserts in the raw, so needless to say it’s pretty big news for the Corvette faithful. The inserts do seem particularly reminiscent of the carbon fiber inserts offered as a $2,125 option on the C8 Stingray. GM still hasn’t announced a price tag for the 2023 Corvette Z06, however dealers can configure them now and are in the midst of dealer tours.

Two years ago, a set of C8 Z06 carbon fiber wheels somehow surfaced on eBay. In an effort not to get these Carbon Revolution wheels into the hands of the competition. It seems this time, this part got away. But we’re left with more questions than answers here. Who keeps selling pre-production Z06 parts? How are they acquiring them in the first place? And how do they avoid detection? If this is your handywork, please feel free to reach out to us. We’d love to know more.
