The C8 Corvette Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06 are in high demand. While production has continued over the past year with a few setbacks and changes to ensure it doesn’t stop altogether, a dealer memo was recently posted to the MidEngineCorvetteForum, which announces some adjustments to the 2023 model year’s schedule along with some predictions for 2024. However, the projected timing for 2024 is subject to change due to how far out it is.

The start of the April headlines for the C8 Corvette was on April 6th, with the release of the first E-Ray Academy Series video. From there, we can expect to see the arrival of a Corvette Expert Sessions – Ron Fellows Performance Driving School on April 20th.

2023-2024 Corvette Timeline

2023 And 2024 C8 Corvette Production Timeline: Details

April 4th was the Sold ordering (SRE) deadline, ending on April 5th. That means dealers can no longer place orders for SRE Z06 models. Meanwhile, they can still submit TRE retail orders. The ordering guide for the 2024 model year will likely be made available on July 10th. On July 18th, we can expect to see the Online Configurator go live. Finally, production for the 2023 C8 Corvette will close on September 1st, and we should see the start of production for the 2024 Corvette on September 5th. Though these dates could change later, it’s best to look at this as a general indication of when to expect these events to transpire.

Since its big debut in 2019, the C8 Corvette has made big news with each consisting model year. Starting with the Stingray in 2020, the followup was the convertible for 2021. Then came the IMSA GTLM Championship Edition for the 2022 model year. Last year, Chevy unveiled the incredible C8 Corvette Z06, which began production in the 2023 model year, along with a commemorative 70th Anniversary Edition. Next, we got the C8 Corvette E-Ray, which features the same widebody design as the Z06, but is uniquely a hybrid supercar, with the fastest 0-60 times of any Corvette yet. This all-wheel-drive Corvette, priced right on top of the Z06, will be the highlight for the 2024 model year. Looking ahead, a C8 Corvette ZR1 is on the way – either for the 2025 or 2026 model year. The C8 Corvette is expected to run until the end of the decade, whereas the C9 Corvette is expected sometime around 2029 or so.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
