A few days ago, it was revealed through an email to dealers that the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon would have a final edition vehicle for the EcoDiesel before it gets taken from the iconic Jeep. But now, Jeep has officially announced this news, with 2023 marking the end of Wrangler EcoDiesel production with the limited edition Wrangler Rubicon FarOut.
Initially introduced for the 2020 model year, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel with 442 lb-ft of torque was the most capable Wrangler to date. Since its debut, Jeep has introduced the Wrangler Rubicon 392, which features 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately, though, now that it’s saying farewell to the Wrangler line, customers will have to choose from the 2.0-liter turbo, 3.6L V6, 6.4L V8, and 4xe hybrid for powertrains. But, the Jeep Gladiator will continue to offer the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 for the time being.
