While Chevrolet is no longer building the 2024 Camaro, some of the legendary muscle cars have made it to Mexico, though, if you’ve got your sights set on one. Be ready to shell out some serious cash as Andrew John Garcia posted some images to Facebook revealing what the pricing for the SS and ZL1 trim Collector’s Edition Camaro will cost, and it’s a lot of pesos.
Mexico Chevrolet Camaro Collector’s Edition: Details
As you already know, the Collector’s Edition Chevrolet Camaro is available on both the SS and ZL1 trims; in Mexico, the SS trim will come in at $1,414,900 Pesos ($82,927 USD with current exchange rates). By comparison, the 2024 Camaro 1SS Collector’s Edition costs $49,890 here in the United States, which is a difference of $33,037 USD. As for the ZL1 Collector’s Edition, pricing starts at $2,314,900 Pesos ($135,647 USD). In the United States, the ZL1 Collector’s Edition costs just $88,690, totaling a markup of $46,957. Both are significant, considering that Chevrolet was only building 350 ZL1 Collector’s Edition Camaros and has already fulfilled that number; it shouldn’t be surprising that these are selling for such a premium.
It’s still being determined how many Camaro SS and ZL1 Collector’s Edition units were allocated to Mexico, but according to the post, they only just arrived in the country this month. Each individual who purchases a Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition will receive a bespoke Shinola Canfield Sport 45mm watch commemorating this special edition muscle car, with an inscribed serial number matching the number on their vehicle’s steering wheel badge. The watch features a panther engraved band to the Camaro logo housed on the watch face. This is a call back to the vehicle’s theme, which surrounds the Camaro’s original code name when the program first started, Panther, which eventually became the iconic pony car in 1967.
Each 2024 Chevrolet Camaro Collector’s Edition model also receives unique front fender script badging that integrates a panther into the “R” and a panther on the steering wheel badge. These Camaro builds also feature unique floor mats with a laser-etched aluminum Collector’s Edition logo and unique black interior treatments.
