2024 FORD MAVERICK: DETAILS

Orders Are Expected To Open Up In July

To say the Ford Maverick is a success is an understatement. When order books opened for the 2023 model year, Ford ended up closing the books just a few days after due to further unexpected demand for the tiny truck with looks inspired by the F-150. This success is particularly true with the Maverick Hybrid, which offers an impressive 500 miles of range. We can expect the same thing to transpire for the 2024 Ford Maverick, though things may be more difficult this time.

2024 Ford Maverick Ordering: Details

According to a recent forum post on the MaverickTruckClub, order banks are likely to open up on July 17th, with job one commencing October 17th. That’s close to now for those waiting to get their chance to place an order. However, if it was difficult last year, it’ll be more difficult as Ford announced at the beginning of the 2023MY that orders wouldn’t be carried over, and any unfulfilled Maverick trucks would need to submit a fresh order for 2024. Of course, Ford could change this statement in the coming months, but it’s unlikely, which means those with an existing order will also be racing to put their names down again amidst those still needing the chance.

Ford Maverick

It’s not all gloom, though, as we still have five months of Ford Maverick production before things switch to the 2024MY. While that should mean a rollout of plenty more tiny trucks, it may still prove inconvenient for those needing to receive their orders by the end of 2023 production, which will likely be around October 14th. So if you haven’t received a scheduled build date by July 16th, it’s best to go into your local dealership to order 2024 to avoid getting left in the dark until the end of production in October.

We can expect this order book to yield similar results to last year’s, with them closing soon after opening. As it stands, the Maverick is responsible for over 3% of hybrid and plug-in-hybrid sales, which is mind-boggling when considering how new it is to the market compared to other combinations out there; if this success continues, it will undoubtedly continue to grow to make up even more of the market.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
