The S650 Ford Mustang took the world by storm when it was officially revealed in Detroit during the 2022 North American International Auto Show. However, like clockwork, enthusiasts were immediately interested on the next thing. So naturally, somebody took to rendering their idea of what a range-topping S650 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 would look like. Thanks to Zephyr Designz on Instagram, we’re given a visualization.
S650 Ford Mustang GT500 Rendering: Details
A considerable amount of the rendering design comes from the S550 GT500, with the lower lights on the bumper, widened stance, and hood scoop. Large tires have been outfitted onto this concept, and a sporty spoiler at the back. We also glimpse four massive exhaust tips at the rear, which would likely help with the performance of the Mustang. It also appears that the taillights have been blacked out.

The entire thing is modern muscle car eye candy, with the daytime running lights, gray and black color scheme, and overall stance. This rendering takes considerable inspiration from the previous generation GT500. As for whether or not this will be close to the real thing (if there’s a real thing), the S650 Mustang generation is expected be the last gas-powered iteration of the high-performance pony car, so we’re sure Ford would have something quite special up its sleeves to make an S650 Shelby Mustang GT500 stand out among the crowd.
For now, we wait. Deliveries for the 2024 Ford Mustang family, including the mighty Ford Mustang Dark Horse with an estimated 100 naturally aspirated horses per liter, won’t commence until the middle of next year. We’re given a lot of hype from engineers, designers and marketers alike on just how different this new Mustang feels compared to before, and it’s sure to delight many modern muscle car fans. Especially as choices become evermore limited.
