One of the great things about readily available photo editing software is the fact that creative car enthusiasts are able to cobble together some rather impressive renders. Whether it be something practical like that Suburban HD rendering we reported on recently, or something more out there like a Camaro SUV, there are plenty of artists out there making some crazy cars. That is where this Chevrolet Camaro Truck rendering comes into play.
This take on what a Camaro Truck would look like was designed by TUNINGCAR_PS on Instagram, the same page that brought us the aforementioned Camaro SUV render. Whereas the SUV looked to the Porsche Cayenne as the base of the design, the Camaro Truck rendering started its life as a mighty Ford F-150 Raptor. Why the artist chose to go this route instead of starting with one of GM’s own trucks is unclear. That being said, we aren’t sure that the brand sacrilege played much of a role in how this truck turned out.

While the Camaro SUV render actually kinda worked, the Camaro ZL1 styling cues didn’t transfer as easily to the Raptor’s body. It’s clear the artist wanted to bring some of the muscle car’s taught styling to the Camaro Truck, but some of the added bodywork comes across as awkward. Perhaps the design language would apply better to a sports truck model. We would also like to point out that the artist does these renderings with just their phone, which is impressive in itself.
While it may seem like a Camaro Truck could never happen, it might not be as crazy as it seems. Ford is in the middle of expanding the Mustang into a sub-brand of its own, and rumors state that a Mustang truck could be something the Blue Oval looks into. If the Chevrolet Camaro manages to stay around for another generation, we wouldn’t be entirely surprised if GM expanded the range to include more types of vehicles
