People love the new Ford Bronco, and Ford is banking off of the car’s iconic cultural status to fight the Jeep Wrangler. Part of that involves the Bronco Nation community site, making Bronco it’s own brand, and the numerous “Off-Rodeo” events owners can participate in. Now, Ford is only continuing to engage its fans with the SUV in a brand new Podcast. Called Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story, and it will walk you through the history of the classic Broncos, disclose why the SUV went away, and how the Blue Oval brought it back today. Here’s the trailer:

The Podcast is an eight part series and will begin on August 10 with bi-weekly episodes. It’s hosted by Sonari Glinton, who was the former National Public Radio transportation and economics correspondent. The Ford Bronco podcast aims to inform current fans while drawing in new enthusiasts.

It’s not just about the Bronco though. Given the SUV was originally in production for 30 years from 1966 to 1996, there was a lot of rich history from that time period. Bring Back Bronco will teach listeners about the cultural impact the Bronco had in America throughout its lifetime. Detroit history expert Bailey Sisoy-Moore makes an appearance in the podcast to give her expertise on the historical impacts of the Bronco.

We are most excited to hear about the battle to bring the Bronco back into production during its 25 year hiatus. It turns out there was a “Bronco Underground” group of Ford employees that worked for under the radar for two decades to bring back the Ford Bronco.

There are also several interviews you’ll hear on the podcast. Some are just Bronco enthusiasts from outside the company to show the passion many American’s have for the SUV. Others are Bronco racers, restorers, and people with incredible stories to tell about their vehicles. There are also multiple Ford executives that are responsible for bringing the SUV back featured.

Overall,  this Ford Bronco podcast seems like a great way to learn about older models, and how the new one came to be. Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story launches August 10 on all streaming platforms.
