BLACK DIAMOND OFF-ROAD PACKAGE JOINS THE FORD BRONCO SPORT LINEUP

Even More Protection While Off-Road

2023 Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Off-Road Package

The Ford Bronco Sport is the ultimate compact SUV for adventures on and off the road. For the larger sibling, the Black Diamond represents a point in the trim level hierarchy where the reborn SUV starts to really equip off-roading extras. Here, customers can find a standard locking differential, steel front and rear bumpers, rock rails, heavy-duty skid plates, and seven GOAT modes. So you get quite a bit when you own a Black Diamond Bronco. For the 2023 Bronco Sport, Ford has decided to elevate its adventure game by introducing a new off-road package that brings that increased capability and style courtesy of the new Bronco Sport Black Diamond Off-Road Package. But wait! There’s more. Ford is also expanding the Bronco Off-Roadeo access for customers that purchase a new 2023 Bronco Sport vehicle.

Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Off-Road Package Details

The Black Diamond Off-Road Package is meant for adventurers who want to get even more out of their Bronco Sport, with more trail capability plus the opportunity to truly handle your Bronco SUV’s reigns at Bronco Off-Roadeo. According to Enthusiast Vehicle Marketing Manager Mark Grueber, Bronco Sport customers attending Off-Roadeo are 90% more likely to go off-roading again, and 97% of customers leave with more knowledge and confidence for taking their vehicles “into the wild.”

The Black Diamond Off-Road Package is available in Big Bend and Outer Banks series. It delivers even more off-road capability by adding four steel bash plates covering key 4×4 powertrain areas, including a front metal skid plate, fuel tank protection, and the canister shield. Unique 17-in Carbonized Gray Low-gloss aluminum wheels with 225/65R17 all-terrain tires wrapped around them offer additional grip. For bold style, the package adds a matte black hood graphic with a small Bronco horse logo, plus lower bodyside graphics with Bronco lettering on driver and front-passenger doors. Customers itching to get a Bronco Sport Black Diamond Off-Road Package should head over to their local Ford dealer, where it’s already available to order.

The Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Off-Road Package is priced at $1,295 USD, and will have “late availability” into the 2023 model year.

Something to consider, however: the Black Diamond package for the Ford Bronco Sport indeed adds a level of capability to the more base trim levels, but the Bronco Sport Badlands is still the top of the line. With the Bronco Sport Badlands, customers get a 2.0L four cylinder EcoBoost engine (compared to the standard three-cylinder turbo in the Big Bend and Outer Banks), as well as a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system that does a superior job at distributing power and torque to wheels that have the most traction.

2023 Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo: Details

Additionally, starting with the 2023 model year, every Bronco Sport owner and order-holder will now receive a complimentary Bronco Off-Roadeo adventure access and trail guide instruction. All four Bronco Off-Roadeo experiences put drivers to the test across miles of curated trails over a day while teaching them about the capabilities and performance of their Bronco two-, four-door, or Sport SUV model.

Each location is designed for all skill levels and offers unforgettable trail drives led by off-road experts, who will show attendees how to get the most out of their Bronco’s rugged capabilities. This included experience is the ultimate opportunity to build confidence, expand off-road adventure skills and explore everything Bronco models have to offer. Bronco Off-Roadeo adventure playgrounds include Horseshoe Bay, Texas (near Austin); Mt Potosi, Nevada (near Las Vegas); Moab, Utah; and Gilford, New Hampshire.

Ford is also adding seasonal excitement to Bronco Off-Roadeo Moab and Texas with Winter Weekends. These will extend the brand’s off-road adventure playground offerings and expand access for customers to come and experience the Build Wild lifestyle. So, even if you purchase a Bronco Sport over the winter, you’ll still be able to have some fun in the snow at the Off-Roadeo with this new addition.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
