Ford Mustang: A Very Successful Year

According to Ford’s internal data, the United States remains home to the most robust demand for Mustang, representing 76% of global sales. Other markets that saw growth in Mustang sales in 2021 include New Zealand, up 54.3%, Brazil, up 37.3%, and South Korea, up 16.6%. Ford wants to keep this momentum going with five new special editions in the lineup, including Mustang Ice White, GT California Special, Coastal Limited and Stealth, and Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition. From the Ford Mustang EcoBoost to the Shelby GT500, there is a special edition at every performance level for muscle car enthusiasts.

The Mustang has also gained eight new color options for 2022, including Ford Performance-exclusive Code Orange on the Shelby GT500, while Brittany Blue Metallic returns specifically for Shelby GT500 Heritage and Coastal Limited models. Additional new available colors across the lineup include Atlas Blue Metallic, Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, Dark Matter Gray Metallic, Eruption Green Metallic, Grabber Blue Metallic, and Mischievous Purple Metallic. We’ve started seeing some of the new colors popping up at dealerships, and they look sleek.

The Mustang Mach-E also saw a successful year in 2021 as one of the hottest products from Ford. In addition to a solid first full year of sales, the Mustang Mach-E earned several press awards, including the coveted North American Utility Vehicle of the Year, Car and Driver’s 2021 EV of the Year, 2021 Wards 10 Best award, and a 2022 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award. Additionally, the Mustang Mach-E was named a finalist for the 2022 World Car of the Year.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
