Ford has two new products for the S650 Mustang on the way, including the newly revealed Mustang 60th Anniversary Package and the 800-horsepower Mustang GTD. Both will be available for purchase, though the GTD will cost a pretty penny to get in your garage, and the 60th Anniversary Package will be extremely limited. These new products will be making their way to the annual Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach event so fans can get a closer look at the vehicles. Shelby American also took the time to reveal its new Super Snake, its most powerful Mustang ever, at the event, demonstrating just how significant this event was in Ford Mustang history.
On Friday Morning, April 19, from 8-9 a.m., fans got the opportunity to experience the exhilarating performance of the 500 horsepower Mustang Dark Horse as they can get behind the wheel; this is followed by an adrenaline-inducing ride-along with a seasoned Ford Performance driver. Unfortunately, the Dark Horse Drive and Ride-Along Experience was limited to just 25 spots, keeping things exclusive to a select few.
The Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition unveiled in Charlotte, will travel directly from the 60th birthday celebration to Florida. To celebrate seven generations of Mustang driving freedom, fun, and style, the new Mustang 60th Anniversary Package will be limited to just 1,965 cars. The limited edition displays the muscle car’s timeless style and design evolution, mixing heritage with innovation to create a beautiful car that will connect fans worldwide.
For those who appreciate the finer details, the Mustang GTD was also on display. This limited-edition, ultra high-performance street legal car features a carbon fiber body, a first-of-its-kind suspension, and a host of other unique features. With a starting price of approximately $300,000, this might just be the closest many people will end up getting to one of these Mustangs.
