ROUSH AND FOX TEAM UP FOR A NEW FORD RANGER SUSPENSION KIT

It Adds Two Inches Of Front Leveling

If you’re looking to increase the off-road capability of your pickup, better suspension is a great place to start. Longtime Ford upfitter Roush knows this, and they’ve just added a new Fox suspension kit for the Ford Ranger that will greatly increase the ground clearance of the mid-size pickup.

The most important change with the new springs and dampers is the front two inch leveling, bringing the front of the tuck in line with the rear ride height. This gives a more even and aggressive look, while allowing larger wheels and tires to be fitted. This leveling is also fully adjustable from stock to the spring’s pre-set, two inch rise. The Ford Performance leveling kit for the Ranger adds an identical height. Because of this, we can say the Ranger gets a 21 percent increase in approach angle and a 10 percent increase in breakover angle from stock.

Making everything from the Ford F-150 Raptor’s suspension to mountain bike upgrades,Fox are the forefront of making a wheel react well to off-road driving. So by collaborating with Roush, it seems like a rather formidable aftermarket offering. In all, the package is made up of two aluminum front coil-over springs and shocks and two rear CNC-machined aluminum shocks. All of the components are bolt-on with no additional modifications necessary. The price for all of this comes in at $1,410, $80 less than the “official kit”.

Introduced along with the suspension are new some slightly less exciting Roush branded WeatherTech rubber floor mats for the Ford Ranger. As will all of WeatherTech’s mats, they are laser cut to fit with the highest precision.

These new accessories join Roush’s three other performance products. For the 2.3 liter EcoBoost four cylinder, Roush offers a performance cat-back exhaust, ECU tune and intake. They are available as standalone purchases or together as a performance pack. If you add the intake, tune and exhaust as a “Level 2 Performance Pac” along with the new Fox suspension kit, you’re looking at a pretty complete Ford Ranger build for $3,240.
