2021 CHEVROLET SILVERADO HD PACKAGES DETAILED

General Motors have just published their order guide for the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD, and now we have new details about the pickup to share with you. The new model year will bring with it a number of small updates, as well as a few new packages that Chevrolet had not previously made us aware of. Here’s everything you need to know about the Silverado 2500 HD’s new offering lineup.

The truck’s order guide lists six new packages for the 2021 model year, though we’ll start with the all-new Silverado 2500 HD Z71 Sport Edition appearance package. Available only on LT and LTZ models, the Z71 Sport Edition includes a bunch of styling changes, mostly involving black paint. The Z71 badged grille inserts, trim level badging, hood vent surround, skid plate, and even the bow tie on the steering wheel have been finished in the dark color. The new 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in mud-terrain tires have also been finished in gloss black. Other tweaks include a Chevytec spray-in bedliner, painted mirror caps, painted bumpers front and rear, and a Body-color grille bar with “Chevrolet” script. A set of 4-inch black assist steps are available as a limited production option.

The Z71 Chrome Sport Edition appearance package is also new for 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD, with less black accents than its stablemate. A Body-color grille bar with “Chevrolet” script is present here as well, though now the grille features a black mesh with Chrome accents and a Z71 badge. The skid plate is also chromed, as are the mirror caps, hood vent surround, and LPO-only assist steps. The bumpers are finished with body color paint, and the 20-inch wheels are touched up with Grazen Metallic accents. The package is only available on Crew Cab LT and LTZ models.

For those in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, GM has unveiled the brand new Silverado 2500 HD LTZ Premium Texas Edition. This new package transforms the truck into a fully-loaded cruiser, including the following equipment:

• Lane Departure Warning
• Automatic Emergency Braking
• IntelliBeam headlamps
• Following Distance Indicator
• Safety Alert Seat

Technology Package:

• Rear Camera Mirror
• 15-inch Diagonal Head-Up Display

The truck will also feature 20-inch polished aluminum wheels wrapped in all-terrain blackwall tires, as well as the obligatory Texas Edition Badging. The Midnight and Carhartt Special Edition models that Chevrolet unveiled at last year at SEMA are present on the order guide, and remain as they were originally detailed. However, the Order Guide states the Carhartt Special Edition package will only be available on the Silverado 2500 HD, and not on the larger 3500 HD models.
