With the competition heating up in the midsize truck segment, General Motors is getting ready to launch the 2021 GMC Canyon. We previously reported on how GMC has restructured the trim levels for the face-lifted model, as well as a number of options and packages that will be available when the truck hits showrooms. With a little bit of digging, we’ve just uncovered some information about two additional packages that customers may choose to order.

The first of the two new packages listed in the official order guide is the 2021 GMC Canyon High Elevation Package. Available on 2021 Canyon Elevation models, the luxury-focused package brings a bit of Denali touch to the lower trim level. Features include Jet Black leather appointed seating, heated seats for the driver and front passenger, a heated steering wheel, as well as a power assisted lumbar controller for the driver. The package will be available on both 2WD and 4×4 models. It will cost $1,400.

The second new package detailed in the document can be had across the Elevation and AT4 trim levels. Deemed the Sports Bar and Lighting Package, this dealer-installed accessories upgrade kit should help to add a more rugged look for the midsize pickup truck. Customers are asked to see dealers for pricing on this kit, as they will be the ones charging for the installation.

These new packages join a list of options that have previously been confirmed by GMC. Said options include things such as the $1,850 Power Pack, which brings a performance intake and cat-back exhaust to the midsizer. Should you wish to go off-roading with some toys in your 2021 GMC Canyon, the $375 performance skid plate package and the $250 trailering package should help out. Don’t fret about mud or sand tattering up your nice interior however, as GMC will gladly sell you their interior protection kit for $260.

While neither of the new packages are all that dramatic, they both have the potential to be popular with buyers. As the 2021 GMC Canyon lineup is released in full, we will have a better idea as to how the fanbase responds.
