The engine revving sound is one of the most iconic things associated with muscle cars. It’s an epic sound that pumps dopamine into a car enthusiast’s system. Of course, doing this isn’t always convenient as people generally have to unlock the car, get in, start, and then rev it. But with the seventh generation of the Ford Mustang, that’s no longer an issue with the Remote Rev feature. We’ve discussed it thoroughly in the past, and now Ford has released a chart regarding how it works, and it would do wonders to work as an alternative to the panic button if you lost the car in a parking lot amongst all the other variants of gray and blue 2024 Mustangs around.

What Is The 2024 Ford Mustang Remote Rev Activation Feature?

To use the Remote Rev feature on the 2024 Ford Mustang, owners must start by using the remote start button on the key fob. After the engine starts, press the unlock and lock button on the fob subsequentially within three seconds to activate the Remote Rev feature. Next, the motor will rev to 2,000 RPM, indicating that the feature is active. Following this, owners should press the unlock and lock button once more to fully engage the S650 Mustang feature, causing the engine to rev three times, increasing RPMs up to 5,000 RPM according to the preprogrammed engine rev profile.

As displayed in the video demonstration released by Ford, reaching the maximum RPM will cause a popcorn effect from the exhaust. It’s loud enough to draw attention, which should be a much cooler way to find your car than the horn. After revving, the feature will stay on standby; it can be reactivated by pressing the unlock and lock buttons on the key fob once again to start a new engine rev sequence.

Ford has devoted a lot of work to the S650 Ford Mustang regarding how it looks, drives, and sounds. They know the key to the experience makes customers want to get in the driver’s seat and hit the road. While the 2024 Ford Mustang offers an assortment of new technologies that take the iconic pony car into the future, this one may be the coolest, sitting just above the electronic drift brake, which should only be used on a track. But, at least with the Remote Rev feature, it can be used everywhere, at least until your neighbors start sending noise complaints.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
