The 2023 Easter Jeep Safari is just around the corner. Jeep is keeping its promise of releasing some Trail Markers leading up to the event, showcasing the concept art that inspired the assortment of concept vehicles Jeep has headed to the off-road event. This one will be the final grouping of Jeep brand and Jeep Performance Parts by Mopar concept sketches, and one of them shows the return of the all-electric Wrangler, dubbed Magneto 3.0.
2023 Easter Jeep Safari Trail Marker 3 Concepts: Details
The 2023 Easter Jeep Safari Trail Marker 3 takes true off-road enthusiasts for an electrified ride down past and present memory lane. Both concept vehicles push the boundaries of electrification. Their commanding performance will be front and center during the 57th annual Easter Jeep Safari, from April 1-9, in Moab, Utah.
Along with the Wrangler Magneto 3.0 concept, the other new teaser appears to utilize a classic Jeep Wagoneer while adding a hint of modernity. With rounded LED headlights and no side mirrors, because who needs them? And we can only assume it’ll be electrified based on the blue hook on the front bumper. Based on the shape of it, it’s likely that the Jeep design team grafted the Wagoneer onto the chassis of a JL Wrangler chassis.
Meanwhile, the Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 utilizes a red, white, and blue color scheme, making us wonder if it pops even more with some of those old-school 3D glasses.
Last year, the Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 turned some heads with its powertrain, which featured a custom-built axial flux electric motor that operated up to 5,250 rpm, a six-speed manual transmission, four lithium-ion battery packs distributed throughout the chassis for weight balance, with a combined power of 70 kW/h, running an 800-volt system, and an inverter derived from race cars that converted DC power to AC for the high-tech motor. This resulted in 625 horsepower under the hood and up to 850 lb-ft of torque sent to all four wheels. So, it’ll be interesting to see what Jeep has in store to take the Wrangler Magneto 3.0 to an even higher tier.
Other 2023 Jeep Moab Easter Safari vehicles teased are pictured just below. They include a Grand Cherokee, a doorless two-door Wrangler truck, a Gladiator with tube doors, and some very colorful Rubicons otherwise.
