RAM 1500 TRX MAGNAFLOW CAT BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM LETS THIS BIG DINOSAUR ROAR

The TRX Cat Back Performance Exhaust System Starts At $3,000

For those not quite satisfied with the sound and performance of the 702 hp Ram 1500 TRX, MagnaFlow has you covered. Earlier this week MagnaFlow introduced their first exhaust system for the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX and its 6.2L supercharged V8 otherwise known as the Hellcat. The MagnaFlow xMOD exhaust system is an addition to their popular xMOD series of cat back systems, available across a broad range of vehicles from the Dodge Challenger to the Toyota Supra.

According to information on the MagnaFlow website, their No Drone Technology (NDT) found in the xMOD system helps eliminate unwanted drone at low rpms while still retaining that throaty exhaust note from the supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 in the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX.

The fully stainless steel Ram TRX MagnaFlow xMOD cat back exhaust system features three interchangeable modules. The NDT Delete module is for those who want to cruise the highway without excessive noise but still want to hear the V8 howl under acceleration. Regardless of the set-up you choose, the entire system will cost $3,000.

If you’re looking for no muffles, you can opt for the xTreme Delete module. The xTreme Delete uses a straight pipe for the most aggressive exhaust note and will undoubtedly turn heads.

If neither of those modules suit your fancy, you can find a happy medium with the Muffler Module. This will retain the classic, deep exhaust note of the Hemi but in a more refined, tamed manner.

While official numbers for horsepower and torque gains aren’t yet available, a little snooping has given us some extra information.

According to a well-known TRX forum, a user by the name of ArtyUSMC was asked to be a test mule for a Ram 1500 TRX cat back MagnaFlow exhaust kit. The user reported that the MagnaFlow xMOD exhaust system showed gains of 16 hp on a dyno run. Impressive numbers no doubt for MagnaFlow considering they could probably knock a few tenths of a second off the TRX’s already wild 4.5 second 0-60 time.

Since the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is still pretty new, there simply aren’t a whole lot of exhaust options available yet. Unless you’re looking to turn your TRX into a Hennessey Mammoth, the xMOD exhaust system from MagnaFlow could be a great place to start if you’re looking to make the T-Rex roar like it does in the movies. You can check it out here.
