The Ram Power Wagon is one of the most appealing HD trucks on the market, due to it’s off-road capability and unique style. But if it’s limited in one field, it’s in the powertrain department. The Power Wagon only comes with the 6.4 liter Hemi V8, not a bad motor in any way, but it simply doesn’t offer the towing power of a diesel many customers are after in a HD truck. Luckily, Rocky Ridge trucks has a solution, and it’s their Ram 2500 HD K2 lifted pickup, available with the 6.7 liter Cummins turbodiesel or the Hemi V8, giving Ram customers with a need to off-road and tow a great option. It also happens to look rather fantastic, giving a custom appearance backed by a full manufacturer warranty.
Rocky Ridge has been producing lifted, custom off-road oriented pickups and letting customers buy them right off their dealership floor since 1983. Like all Rocky Ridge trucks, the Ram 2500 HD K2 is Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards compliant and is backed by a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty. To offer this level of customization through any dealership is impressive.
The most obvious is its towering height. This is thanks to a 5 inch Rocky Road suspension lift kit, 20 inch black off-road wheels, and 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires. It’s certainly an aggressive package. To compensate for the larger wheels, the Rocky Ridge Ram HD K2 also has seamless fender flares. The package also includes a full alignment, speedometer recalibration and road force balancing.
Exterior styling is also aided by Rocky Ridge/K2 graphics and badges on the hood, windshield, doors and tailgate. If buyers want more, they can option body colored fender vents, body colored painted rear bumper, chrome accents and a Vengeance front bumper with LEDs. The body can also get a “high hat” theme with black roof that you see pictured here, a matte paint or faded gradient paint.
Inside, the Rocky Ridge Ram HD K2 gets an upgraded interior. The seat headrests come embroidered with the Ricky Ridge logo as standard, and buyers can upgrade to other leather designs such as diamond stitching. There are also special Rocky Ridge gauges, and a center console safe.
The Ram 2500 HD K2 may be slightly more skewed towards style than the off-road focus of Ram’s own Power Wagon, but with the increased ride height, knobby tires and 4×4 system, it should still be very capable. For owners wanting a unique, custom truck that can go just about anywhere it can fit off-road, and have a diesel powertrain, Rocky Ridge has you covered.
