There is no getting around the fact that American’s love their pickup trucks. And when we talk about trucks here in the States, the F-150 reigns supreme. In fact, the Ford F-150 has managed to be the best selling vehicle in the country for the last 38 years running, as well as the best selling pickup for five more years than that. The Blue Oval’s most prolific vehicle is all new for the 2021 model year, with the F-150 entering its 14th generation. As the automaker aims to continue their undeniable success in the segment, they have confirmed that customers will start taking delivery of their own 2021 Ford F-150 pickups this week.

According to Ford, the first few sales of the new truck have already taken place in the Midwest, with dealers across the country beginning to receive stock in the days to come. The automaker hasn’t been shy about the amount of customer interest they have already received, with sold orders up significantly across the board from last year.

“Customer sold orders are up over 210 percent from a year ago November, and dealer orders for stock are more than double the current production schedule,” said Mark LaNeve, Ford vice president, U.S. marketing and sales. “It’s apparent that this F-150 is something that our customers both want and need.”

Considering the fact that the 13th generation made its debut all the way back in the 2015 model year, and it’s not too surprising that so many people want in on the new model. Furthermore, the 2021 Ford F-150 is by far the most technologically advanced example ever produced, with features like the 3.5L PowerBoost V6 Hybrid, over the-air update capability, and the Pro Power OnBoard generator. All of these came together to help the truck capture its seventh consecutive Best Buy Award from Kelley Blue Book. Have you noticed a theme here?

So then if you have an order placed for a 2021 Ford F-150, it is officially time to get excited. It might be an all-new pickup, but it does come backed by decades of Ford truck sales. Now we all have to wait for the Raptor and electric variants of the truck to arrive and properly shock us.
