More Powerful Than The Raptor R

Roush Performance, an industry leader in aftermarket superchargers, engines, and pre-titled performance vehicles, has just announced new applications for its F-150 Supercharger kit. The kit has been updated for compatibility with 2021-2023 5.0L V8-equipped F-150s with Pro Power Onboard. Boosting the output to 705 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque, a gain of 305 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque over stock, it’s even more powerful than the mighty Raptor R. In addition, Roush is adding an EO approval for 2021 models, allowing the kit to be installed in states requiring an EO number.

Upgraded Roush Ford F-150 Supercharger Kit: Details

The Roush Performance TVS R2650 (2.65L) supercharger is the heart of the package. The system is a Roots-type positive-displacement supercharger that utilizes four-lobe rotors twisted 170 degrees, resulting in enhanced thermal efficiency, higher volumetric capacity, and improved airflow into the engine. Larger bearings and thicker timing gears further increase its durability. Additionally, the supercharger is equipped with a custom high-efficiency aluminum intercooler and high-capacity coolant reservoir, which work together to keep the engine cool.

The power upgrade features an exclusive Roush-developed billet-aluminum viscous crankshaft damper, which improves the durability and longevity of the supercharged 5.0L V8 engine. Uniquely developed spark plugs that reduce pre-ignition and detonation risks caused by the added power are also included. Roush’s calibration is optimized for 93-octane fuel for maximum strength, though it is compatible with 91-octane and retains all factory driving modes. This means you can bounce back and forth without worry, depending on gas prices and the need for speed.

The 2021-2023 F-150 Roush Supercharger Kit has a 107% larger low-temp radiator surface area, doubling the cooling capacity over previous Roush offerings. This enables the kit to perform optimally, even in high-load situations like towing, heavy-duty hauling, and off-roading. As with all Roush Performance products, the company stands behind its product with a 3-year/36,000-mile limited powertrain warranty when installed by a Ford dealer or an Automotive Service Excellence-certified technician. The kit includes all the necessary hardware for installation along with Roush Performance calibration to be downloaded using Roush’s proprietary software. Finally, the 2021-23 F-150 Pro Power Onboard Supercharger kit has a starting price of $9,149.99 and is already available to purchase through the company website.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
